STUDIO ETIQUETTE

At our studio, we strive to create a safe, friendly, and supportive space for everyone. To ensure this, we ask that all students and staff respect each other and the shared environment and treat each other with kindness.  By following these guidelines, we can maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all, while also adhering to important legal and insurance requirements.

IN THE STUDIO

  • Welcome New Faces: If you spot someone new, make them feel at home! A simple introduction goes a long way (we all remember how nerve-wracking the first class can be!).
  • Bag Placement: Please leave your bag in the designated area and bring only your water bottle and cloth to the pole. This keeps the studio floor clutter-free.
  • Waiting for Class: Arrive early? Relax in the reception area until the current class finishes. You’re welcome to use the bathroom, but please return to reception once you’re done.
  • Be Mindful of Classes in Progress: If you need to pass through the studio, please walk around the edges to avoid interrupting ongoing classes.
  • First Aid: If you need assistance, let a staff member know right away.
  • Feeling Unwell?: Please rest at home to recover and avoid spreading illness.
  • Food: If you need to eat, please do so in the reception area.
  • Visitors: Friends or family are welcome to wait in reception but are not permitted to watch classes.
  • Feedback: We value your input! Share any feedback, suggestions, or concerns through our website contact form or the suggestion box in reception.

CLASS GUIDELINES

  • Arrive On Time: Warm-ups are crucial for injury prevention, so arriving late may mean you cannot join the class.
  • Notify Instructors: Let your instructor know about any injuries or conditions that could affect your performance.
  • Know Your Limits: If you’re uncomfortable with a movement, let the instructor know. Listen to your body, especially when you’re tired or sweaty.
  • Jewelry: Remove all jewelry and watches before using any apparatus to protect both you and the equipment.

OPEN PRACTICE

  • Warm Up: Always warm up thoroughly before starting your practice.
  • Sharing: Stick to your own pole and share lyra and silks respectfully.
  • Clean Equipment: Wipe down equipment before and after use.
  • Tidy Up: Return all items (mats, chairs, etc.) to their proper place after practice.
  • Practice What You’ve Learned: Only practice skills taught in class, and ask the instructor on duty if you need help. Please remember, insurance policies prohibit students from teaching others, even during class.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND FILMING

  • Respect Privacy: Feel free to post your routines or tricks online, but if someone else appears in your video, make sure to get their permission first.
  • Instructor Filming: Instructors may occasionally record classes for social media. If you prefer not to be filmed, just let them know.
  • Stay Updated: Keep an eye on updates in the Elements Family Group on Facebook.

CASUAL CLASSES

  • Booking: Use the Serenity App to book casual classes.
  • Cancellations: Cancel within a reasonable timeframe to allow waitlisted students to attend. Last-minute cancellations are unfair to others.
  • Class Requirements: Check class descriptions carefully and bring any required items (e.g., mat, knee pads, gym shoes). These are for your safety and comfort.

CHILDREN IN THE STUDIO

  • Supervision: We understand child care can be tricky, but children must remain seated in the waiting area or on the studio’s edge. Running through the studio or car park is not allowed. If your child’s behavior becomes disruptive or unsafe, we may ask you to remove them for their safety and the safety of others.

MEMBERSHIP

  • Class Changes: Occasionally, class times or instructors may change. We’ll keep you informed through the Elements Family Group, studio, and website.
  • Membership Questions or Cancellations: For any membership-related questions or to cancel, please use the contact form on our website.

PARKING

  • After 5 PM: You may park in any available spot.
  • Before 5 PM: Please avoid parking in front of the neighboring business or blocking their loading dock.

COMMUNICATION

  • Contact Us: To streamline communication, we ask that you use the contact form on our website or email us at lawnton@elementspoleaerialfitness.com. This ensures we can respond to you efficiently.

By entering the studio and participating in classes, you agree to follow our Studio Etiquette guidelines. Thank you for helping us maintain a positive and respectful environment!
